Is Jimmy’s a child friendly restaurant?

We have a proud reputation for being a great place for families to relax and have a great meal. Even if the kid’s aren’t adventurous eaters, they have classics such as pizza and ice cream available!

Do you cater for vegetarians?

Yes we do. Our current menu has many dishes suitable for vegetarians, ranging from stir fry to curry to pasta and further. To get your appetite going, have a look at our sample menus.

If I have certain dietary requirements, could I still eat in your restaurant?

We try to cater for dietary requirements but Jimmy's kitchens do not use separate areas so we cannot guarantee 100% that a specific ingredient will not be present in a dish. Please speak to the manager to check about your requirements.

Are there franchise opportunities?

If you believe you could open a Jimmy's Restaurant in the UK or internationally we would like to hear from you. We would expect you to be an established restaurant operator with experience of multi unit management.

How are the dishes on the menu decided?

We listen to feedback from our guests and where possible try to work suggestions into the menu. Our executive Head Chef works very closely with our chefs to create new and exciting dishes.

Great! We’re always looking for passionate people for a whole host of positions. Head over to the jobs page or pop in to your local branch with your CV and ask to speak with the manager. If the restaurant isn’t yet open, posters will be placed up in the restaurant window with the details of who to contact.

Charity – I’m looking for sponsorship, can you sponsor me?

Jimmy’s would like to help and be involved wherever possible. However funds are unfortunately limited, so in order to make the best use of the money available, we can only select the activities that can be worked into our marketing strategy.

Do you have a Christmas Menu?

We do have a Christmas menu as we like to get in the festive spirit. This becomes available from September on our website.

How much VAT do you charge?

We are currently charging VAT at 20%.

You may notice on your receipt that we detail the amount of VAT you are paying. This included within the prices we display on our menu and doesn’t mean you are paying any extra. It’s just our way of detailing to you how much VAT you are paying.

Are all dishes available at every restaurant location?

The menu shown is representative, not all dishes may be available at all restaurants. Menu differs from weekdays to weekends and is more extensive for dinner than for lunch.

Why am I being asked to pay for my meal upfront on some days?

Jimmy's Restaurants take upfront payment for groups, during busy periods, our staffing reasons, for parties where guests are paying individually or when host of the party is not present. Management reserves the right to take upfront payment from any party without giving any reason. Guests can be refused entry if payment is not made. Even if a guest has paid at the end of the meal during a previous visit, for operational reasons we may ask for upfront payment on another visit.

Some of the guests in my party are not eating, is that possible?

No, this is not possible. As all-you-can-eat buffet, we make sure you have a great time but we cannot monitor who is eating or who is not eating. Guests who are not paying for a buffet meal are not allowed inside the restaurant. The management reserves the right to charge any individual who takes a seat, in full, regardless of whether this person is eating or not.

One person in my party has a small appetite or is elderly, can you charge this person half price?

No, at Jimmy's we do not track how much food is consumed by our guests, so each guest is charged normal price regardless of how much he or she eats.

What is the policy on charging children?

At Jimmy's children under 10* are half price and under 3* eat free on the understanding that there will be full price paying adults with the children. For every three children under 3* we will charge one half price meal. Maximum two 'half price' children are allowed per full price paying adult. Please ensure young children are accompanied at all times around the buffet area. Children's parties where adults are not eating is not allowed in any Jimmys' Restaurant. Guests who are not paying for a buffet meal are not allowed inside the restaurant. Unaccompanied children are not allowed to dine on their own at any Jimmy's Restaurant.

Do you allow parties with just children?

Unaccompanied children are not allowed to dine on their own at any Jimmy's Restaurant. Maximum two 'half price' children are allowed per full price paying adult. Please ensure young children are accompanied at all times around the buffet area.

Is there a play area for children at Jimmy's restaurants?

No, there is no play area for children at any Jimmy's restaurant. Children are not allowed to run or play at Jimmy's restaurants. All children must be supervised at all times by parents or guardians. Parties where children are not supervised may be asked to leave the premises.

Can I take leftover food as takeaway or doggy bag?

No, Jimmy's is an all-you-can-eat restaurant. You can eat as much as you like and we suggest that you help yourself from the buffet as much as you can eat so that food is not wasted. Food cannot be taken out from the restaurant under any circumstance.

I do not have the bar code for a discount or promotion, can I still get this discount?

No, the bar code must be scanned for a discount to be applied.

Am I allowed to bring my own drinks?

No, guests are not allowed to bring their own drinks under any circumstance.

Can I bring my own birthday cake?

Yes, guests can bring their own cake and candles. It may not be possible for us to keep your cake for a booking on another day or a later time. It's best to bring your cake along with you at the time of your booking.

Can I put up decorations for my party?

As our restaurants are busy, it is often not possible to give your table before your booking time. Guests can keep balloons but we do not allow banners or signs to be stuck to walls or confetti or crackers that require cleaning up.

Do you allow electronic cigarettes inside the restaurant?

No, Jimmy's is a family and child friendly restaurant so we do not allow electronic cigarettes inside restaurant premises.

How long can my party stay in the restaurant?

Jimmy's Restaurants operate a strict two hours turnaround or seating policy. So you must vacate your table in 2 hours from the time of your booking. If you have not booked and arrive at the restaurant as a 'walk-in' guest then two hours turnaround applies from the time you are seated. Two hours seating applies to a table and not to individual guests and starts from the time the table is given. Please note that closing time supersedes two hours turnaround, so for example if a restaurant closes at 3.00 pm for lunch on a weekday and if you arrive at 2.00 pm then you must adhere to the closing time which can result in less than two hours seating. Please ensure that everyone invited to your party arrives on time and is aware of this policy.

Do you require deposits for parties?

Large parties may be asked to pay a deposit to confirm the booking. Please speak to the restaurant you are booking at for details.

Do you accept personal cheques as payment?

No, we do not accept personal cheques. Limited company cheques and BACS payments can be taken as deposit at least 20 working days before the booking. Please speak to the restaurant you are booking at for details.

How long will you hold my booking?

During busy periods, tables are kept for maximum 15 minutes after the time of booking.

Do you accept card payments over the phone

No, Jimmy's restaurants do not accept payments over the phone. We only accept chip and pin card payments made in the restaurant.

Do you have allergen information on the dishes served?

Yes, this information is available in a file at each restaurant. Please ask the duty manager or the head chef at the restaurant.

When does cooking cease?

Live cooking ceases 30 minutes prior to closing time. The food on the buffet will cease to be replenished after this time. However, the duty manager will try to accommodate any reasonable request made by guests who arrive late 30 minutes prior to closing.

Are all Jimm'ys Restaurants franchised ?

Yes, Jimmy's Restaurants are all operated by individual franchises. Each outlet is managed under the franchise license.
